Project Description

The N4 Newcastle Road Overbridge is a 45m long 2 span structure, carrying the Newcastle Road (R120) over the N4 Lucan Bypass. The bridge forms part of the Lucan Bypass Upgrade Scheme constructed under a Design and Build Contract which opened in 2009.

The bridge forms part of a grade separated junction, removing the previous at grade signal controlled junction and giving a free flow route to traffic on the N4. It was constructed while maintaining traffic flow on the N4 and the R120.
