The Ferbane Footbridge is a 35m single span lattice arch footbridge spanning over the River Brosna in the town centre of Ferbane, Co. Offaly.
The footbridge was constructed adjacent the existing N62 road bridge and was required to provide pedestrians with a safe means of crossing the river. The existing means involved crossing the N62 road bridge along its narrow footpaths adjacent live traffic on the busy National Secondary Route. The project also involved removal of the western footpath and widening the eastern footpath in order to provide an adequate footpath over the eastern side of the N62 road bridge.
